Hi all!

Hedwig, the piggie formerly known as Gizmo, is
getting into being a master. She mounts her
pigloo and wheeks with all her might. Sooo
cute!!

Anyway, I was advised when I adoted her, not
to give her veggies yet. She was about 6 wheeks
old when we got her and we've had her about
six wheeks. When and what veggies should
I try? I have never had such a young pigger,
so I am in new territory. She loves her hay
and pellets and is growing well. Are 1 or 2
baby carrots a day really bad for piggies? Most
all of my piggies have been raised with this
routine. I don't think I've ever had a stone
piggie, so I assume it has been a safe practice.
Of course, my first piggie got potato peelings
whenever my mom made mashed potatoes. I
have heard since then that potato peelings are
not good for piggies. I guess people forgot to
tell Squeekers that--he lived over 5 1/2 years!

Our condolences to all those who have crossed
the Bridge. Healing hugs and wheeks to the ill.

Denise, slave to Hedwig
