[Gpdd] MISC: Why are they called guinea pigs

Hi,
     What I have read is that when cavies were discovered in Peru by Dutch 
explorers, they were brought back to the olde world. One of Britian's queen's 
even had one! But, back to the name. They were sold for "a guinea" and they make 
a squealing sound like a pig.
     There are other explanations, however.
