Hi Slaves,

I just wanted to thank you all for the creative "cage-elevating" ideas you
sent me!

Thanks to all your ideas, I have found what I think will be a practical
solution. For anyone else who has a similiar setup, this might work for you too:

I went to Target and picked up two 31" horizontal stackable shelves for
$10.99 each. I didn't stack them, but I put them both together and placed one
beneath each end of the cage. I also placed thin piece of particle board
beneath the choroplast pan for added support of the bottom. My 3 cube x 2 cube
C&C cage fits perfectly.

The box says each shelf can handle 12 lbs, (24 lbs for two) but that
indication is for wall usage. I believe you can support a bit more if you put them
on the floor. They are easy to put together (although my husband didn't like
the way I put them together and took them apart on me and reassembled them
his way, which caused a bit of annoyance on my part).

Anyway, I just put the whole mess together about an hour ago, so I will find
out of it's going to work long term I guess soon.

Well, thanks again for all your wonderful feedback!

I'll talk to you all soon!!!
