Not to sound like a know-it-all, but sows DO have a heat cycle

I stand corrected - according to Hillyer & Quesenberry, Ferrets, Rabbits and
Rodents 1997 (I never bought the later edition) they are nonseasonally
polyestrous with cycles lasting a range of 13-21 days and most 15-17 days.

Here's a scary thought from the book - males being mounting at 1 month of
age. Little s*x machines!

"It doesn't matter what the kids say. Rabbits are not disposable like a box
of cereal or a Disney video. They WILL get tired of the rabbits and go on to
the next toy. YOU will have to deal with the consequences. Unfortunately,
most people deal with the situation by DUMPING their rabbits on someone else.
Ultimately, it is the bunny that pays for your inability to say NO."
