Jaime,
The Torbugesic is a double-edged sword.? It is excellent as a painkiller but it supresses the appetite.? It's used on rabbits post-spay and in cases of exteme stasis but then it's stopped because bunnies don't eat much while on Torb and it's critical to keep bunnies eating.? Can you switch to Metacam?? I'm not sure how you're dosing the Torb (injection or orally) but Metacam is very easy to give orally.? The other benefit of Metacam is that it reduces inflamation, which in itself causes pain.
I bet once you stop the Torb, her appetite comes back.??One trick (this works better with the sick?bunnies but why not try it) is to cut the veggies, greens and fruits?into small pieces.?
It's very important for the piggie mom to take care of herself during this stressful time.? Naps and Mint Milanos always do it for me.
Dana & the girls
