Hello Sabrina and Dinky,

It sounds from your brief description as though Dinky has a lipoma, a benign fatty lump just under the skin, not uncommon in guinea pigs. If so, the lump will feel loose, i.e. not attached to anything.

There is a picture of a piggy with a lipoma on GuineaLynx, which might help you with identification http://www.guinealynx.info/lipoma.html as it is hard to diagnose anything without seeing and feeling the piggy.

It is only necessary for these to be removed if they should get in the way otherwise just keep an eye on the lump for any development.

Best wishes,

Penny and the Piggyfriends.
