[Gpdd] Health- New Guinea Pig

Background: My roommate decided that since I have been talking about getting
a companion for my piggy, that she would take it upon herself to come home
yesterday with a new pig. She did not buy him a cage, water bottle, food, or
anything else, and she assumed that she could put her new pig in with mine.
After gently letting her know that there is no way two pigs could be in my
cage- because it is not large enough, I am still having concerns about how
to address a new guinea pig in the house- especially one that has an owner
who typically only likes animals because they are cute and who didn't even
bother to ask about guinea pig care.

First, can someone tell me the best way to observe whether a new pig has a
disease while they are being quarantined? She got the new pig from
PetsMart, and even though I told her to quarantine him, she brings him out.
This worries me because she also began to use my piggy's things- i.e. his
hayball & bedding etc. Will I not be able to let my piggy use these things
when, and if she returns them? I am just very worried about maintaining the
health of my pig and because all of this was so sudden that I am a bit
upset. Any advice on how to deal with this new pig owner and her new pig is
greatly appreciated.
