  Your vet needs to re-educate herself if she thinks guinea pigs don't get bumblefoot. It sounds like you're doing all you can. Maybe you could try getting a second opinion. I don't know your vet, but I think she may not know as much about piggies as she should. Is it possible an infection from the foot could have spread into Ginger's blood stream? Maybe other digesters will know the answer to that question. We will keep you both in our prayers.
