Hi, I've been absent from the digest for a while as its been a hectic summer for me. And for Becky (my gp) too! We had an exicting adventure driving across the country from New York to Oregon with my fiance and two ferrets. I got a hired as the primary caregiver at a chimpanzee sanctuary out here and when I told Becky about the possible move, she was all about it!

Now that we've gotten here, she hasn't really been the same. She just doesn't seem to be eating as much, especially her hay. The past couple of days her eyes have been gunky and she seems wobbly and she just wants to put her head down. She is 5 and half years old, and I suspect it might be the end. I called the vet we use for a the animals here at the sanctuary but I'm waiting for his call back.

YEsterday evening, I gave her a warm bath and cleaned out her eyes and syringe fed her some water, because she hasn't been drinking very much either. She took a lot of it. She also ate some lettuce and apple last night, which she wouldnt eat in the morning, so I though maybe she was perking up a bit. This morning, however, she looks bad again.

Doesn this sound like a certain illness to any of you? Please let me know what I can do!

Thank you all,
Katy and her cross coutry piggie Becky
