Hi all,

So Dr. Schwartz put her under and did complete blood work (again) and found
that everything was perfectly normal except that T-4 level. Their scale
only goes up to 8 and her reading said greater than 8. It was 6.9 so it
doesn't seem the medicine she has been on for 6 weeks has been working.

Just got her home and syringe fed her. She's too stupid from the anesthesia
to eat for herself, but she ate when I offered it to her. We have three
medications to give her!

When I asked the vet, he said the tumor didn't look cancerous. It just
looked like she had an enlarged thyroid gland. He sent it off the CA to a
pathology lab that specializes in exotics. Should hear back in a week.

She's been glued back up so no stitches. She doesn't really seem like she's
in a lot of pain. Maybe uncomfortable, but it's hard to tell since she's so
groggy. I'll be getting up in the middle of the night to syringe feed her
as I know she won't be eating at all tonight. In the morning she should be
a lot better as far as the anesthesia is concerned. Hopefully, in other
respects as well.

If, for some reason, she is still losing weight after this I'll be taking
her to another vet to see what they have to say since Dr. Schwartz doesn't
know what else may be wrong since her blood work is perfect. Hopefully,
she'll be packing on the grams now and her biopsy will come back benign.

Dr. Schwartz says she's a fighter. I always knew that.

So, she's doing well. resting, of course. She's sleepy. I expect she'll
be like my father on Sudafed until tomorrow morning!

Piggy Kisses! Thanks so much for all your thoughts and prayers. It's meant
the world to all of us!

Maren, Rich, Rosie, and Charlie ~..~
