Glynis, I had my darling Petey for 2 years following his paralysis. He ran very quickly using his front legs all around the place - his upper body built up strength and he was amazing. When I picked him up, he was so STRONG. It was easier for him to move around on fleece vs. bedding, but it was still fine. He was precious and died of cancer - not even related to his paralysis. He died at 4 1/2 years of age.

He was also so sweet about being paralyzed and didn't think he was any different than the other piggies, but the girls really did like Petey and flocked around him. They even protected him from the other boys. :-))? I had quite the herd in a 9X12 pen on the floor.

I did have to bathe his underside and private area every so often because he tended to lay in one area longer than other piggies. He also lost his fur on his 'knees' from all of the dragging.?
