Oh Dear Sandy,
Cookie and Little Bear and I hope that someone will be able to help you out soon.
Whee wonder if a local shelter, or 4-H club or piggy/bunny group could help you out with Manny for this short while. Maybe even a school classroom or Girl Scout Troop or someone.
I think if the landlord sees that everything is OK when he comes in, that it will be OK, or I hope so.
If the people next door are having stress, they might be oversensitive to noise and exaggeration of what they can't see. They should have said something to you before going to the landlord. Can you talk with them and let them see the apartment and explain your situation? Maybe they would take back the complaint.
