Dear Cavy Slaves and Everyone that gave me advice about removing a stone
from the urethra,

Our 4.5 year old sow Kinjaroo had a 15mm long by 10mm wide stone in her
urethra. On the 3rd of December Dr. Frank Bonsack DVM successfully
removed the stone. Within 15 minutes of him turning off the isoflurane
anesthetic gas and just flushing the nose cone with oxygen she was
awake, eating, urinating and defecating normally. Today she is totally
normal. She is taking 10 mg of Rimadyl twice a day for pain and 0.5ml of
pediatric Bactrim twice a day to prevent infection.

I assisted at the operation. I will post the details soon for those who
are interested so that you can educate yourself and your veterinarian if
you ever face the same situation.

Cheers, Ann and the rescued piggys of Piggyville Tampa Florida USA
