Carly, Aeva, Dharma, Froders and Nahga We were sorry to hear that your
precious piggie, Emma, had departed for The Rainbow Bridge. We are not
sure how old she was, but think she must have been almost a SCAMP if she
had her babies in 2004. She sounds as though she was a very special, very
beautiful pig, and we are sure she knew how deeply she was loved. We lost
our dear Scruff to what we think was twisted gut in 2004, and it is
surely a very unpleasant condition. She was taken twice to the vet and
had all kinds of uncomfortable treatments, but there doesn't really seem
to be anything that can help, so we are sure you did the right thing in
allowing Emma to make her departure in peace, from the comfort of her own
home. We are glad you were able to take the day off work so you could be
with her as she left. We have seen many pigs "running in place" as they
head for The Bridge, and it is lovely to think that they have already
seen their departed friends and are heading for their company. We know
how much you will be hurting, and no words can make the pain go away, but
we hope you will find some small comfort in the fact that piggie slaves
all over the world are thinking of you at this very sad time and
understand what you are going through. love from Debbie and the 8 Dolly
Mixtures

"We patronize them for their incompleteness,
for their tragic fate of having taken a form so far below ourselves.
And therein we err, and greatly err.
For the animal shall not be measured by man.
In a world older and more complete than ours
they move finished and complete, gifted
with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained,
living by voices we shall never hear.
They are not brethren, they are not underlings;
they are other nations, caught with ourselves
in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners
of the splendour and travail of the earth".
