[Gpdd] ] Reply to the Poem for Animal Abusers

Dear Selena,
It was very brave of you to share the poem about animal abusers with the 
members of the GPDD. I feel like posting that poem on the door of many 
pet shops and sending it to the shop owners and their corporate 
sponsors. I have operated a private cavy rescue home for over 22 years. 
I have seen every horrible thing that a person could do to a helpless 
guinea pig. But nothing bothers me more than pet stores that sell sick 
and pregnant guinea pigs. I personally do not shop in pet stores, but I 
have had many people bring to me their mange infested pregnant guinea 
pig(s) that they had bought a week before from a pet store. Several of 
the vets and the feed stores in the Tampa area know that I will treat 
peoples cavies for free if they can not afford to take them to a vet.  I 
have often gone to pet stores and met with the owners and after telling 
them that  they are selling sick and pregnant animals to unsuspecting 
customers am told they don't care. There are no government agencies that 
prosecute pet store owners for these horrible practices. I really do 
believe in Karma.
