Sir Frodo the Vacant, his lovely assistant Zoe and Slave Laura wish to thank
Michelle Tanaka and her piggies Snowy Bear and Snoopy for the wonderful box
of Christmas goodies they sent. The Bermuda Grass was a new treat for the
piggies and was gobbled down in no time. However, being a bit slow, Sir
Frodo had a hard time understanding how you could have sent "Bermuda" grass
when you live in Hawaii. Little Zoe just kindly told him to shut up and eat!
The hay holder was much appreciated as were the bags of munchie treats.
Slave Laura also thanks you for the chocolate dipped shortbread and the
beautiful Hawaiian calendar. On these long winter days, gazing at Diamond
Head and the lush flora, is a welcomed respite (it was 24 degrees here this
morning).

Sir Frodo would like Snowy Bear to know that he, too, was an unplanned
pignancy. He was all by himself in a cage at Petsmart, marked down 25% -
what an embarrassment! His cage mate had been adopted about 3 weeks earlier
but nobody wanted him. They estimated his age at about 6 months. Slave
Laura's heart went out to him and although she never had done anything like
this before, decided right than and there to take him home ......after she'd
talked his price down to 50% off. The next wheek, when he was at the vet's
for neutering, a piggie was abandoned there because her mammary tumor
operation was too expensive for the owners. Knowing that our vet will do
the operation for free if someone would adopt her, Slave Laura came home
with two piggies in stitches, thus adding The Dowager Lady Samantha to the
Herd. Two months later the great Anakin, who was a long hair just like
Snoopy, passed away at the ripe old age of 6.5 years. Sir Frodo, the only
male left, for that one day and one day only, exerted his "manliness" on the
girls (even though he was shooting blanks). It was quite funny to see. Then
several months after that a neighbor who was a dog walker, came to us with a
tiny piggie, a give-up from one of her clients. They had given their 7 yr
old daughter two piggies but she was wayyyyy too young to properly care for
them. The other piggie had just been put down that morning because, through
rough play, the little girl had broken its leg. So we added Little Zoe to
our home and it has stayed at 4 piggies ever since. (I forgot to mention
Pearl who has been with us almost 4.5 years - a rescue from Judy Lanier-as a
companion to Anakin after Dodger died.) So that's the whole story on the 4
Fluffernutters. Slave Laura says that most of us are too young to remember
KC, but she does. What a beautiful pig he was!

Again whee all thank you for your Christmas gifts and hope you have a
wonderful 2008!

Sir Frodo the Vacant, the Lovely Zoe
Slave Laura
