The girls are itching to get at the keyboard so I suppose I'll have to let
them or they will *never* quiet down! OK, girls... it's all yours!
TABITHA:
Well, like, hi everybody! Uhm, I forgot what I was going to say... (A hard
nudge from Samantha) Hey! OK, OK, I remember now. Mommy went on this
really, really long trip and left someone hereto take care of us. What she
didn't bother to mention to us, unfortunately, is that her friend is blind
too. Boy, did we have fun with him. Giggle, giggle. We never made one
sound when he came in the room to feed us. We refused, even though we
really wanted all the veggies and fruits and hay that he brought us twice a
day. We would wait until he put it in our food trough and walked away,
looking very sad before we would run really fast over there to eat. So
there! That'll teach Mommy to leave us behind when she goes away, huh?
SAMANTHA: Well, Tabitha got it mostly right, so I won't have to correct her
too much anyway. Yes, we played mute while her friend was here, which we
know now wasn't nice at all and we do feel kind of guilty about it now.
But, when Mommy came home, we let all those saved up wheeks and squeaks out
for a really, really big welcome home to her and Daddy Slave Earl. It was a
joyous reunion! Then, they showed us this horrible picture of something
they called a "grandson" Shudder, b-r-r-r-r-r! it was red and wrinkly and
had a really, really big mouth. They said it was going to come visit us
soon so we could meet him. Well, if they think they're gonna put that thing
in here wiht us and make us share our cage, toys and food with him, they
better think again! Sheesh with a mouth that size, he would be able to
shove every single piece of food we have in here right on in and down. And
I'm not so sure he would stop at that! What if he gets a hand full of our
nice soft hair and tries us out for a snack! Oh horrors. It gives us
nightmares when we think about it!I suppose we will have to just bide our
time and se what happens. We have sure missed hearing the digest every day
but Mommy read them all to us tonight and we are satisfied now. Well, for
the moment anyway. But don't tell Mommy. We have to keep her guessing!
We've missed you all loads!!
Hugs, winks and whisker kisses,
Samantha & Tabitha
