Hi all,

Of course the day Peaches has her vet appointment her flaky belly gets better. I took her anyway. I should trust my own knowledge and instincts. I knew it wasn't anything to worry about, but of course the vet has to do all these tests. Skin scrapings that left her skin raw in patches, fungal test, and a ivermectin shot even though the scrapings were negative for mites. She wants her back for two more ivermectin shots. I guess since we are going away the peace of mind is worth $142.00! I bought some medicated oatmeal shampoo from the vet and will use it tonight. It appears the Selsen Blue shampoo was working.

When the vet gave Peaches the ivermectin shot the needle bent. The vet said piggies have tough skin. Poor Peaches got stuck twice. She got extra treats tonight.

I was hoping to hear from Penny about this as she breeds Teddys and gave us Peaches. She must be on vacation. Those retired folks, always going somewhere. And we hope to join them the end of this year!

Thanks for all your suggestions. You guys are great!

Dee who is on vacation tomorrow, yippee! But I will miss my fur babies.
