Dave,

I was so upset when I started to read your post about the piggy on the motorway so was delighted that your story had a happy ending, though a child could have been devastated to lose their toy piggy. I would have been myself!!

Some of those toys are very realistic. When I used to have a table at the RSPCA Pet Days, I always took along a life sized guinea pig handpuppet, which my son had brought me back from the US. When I was not using it, I placed it on top of a cage of piggies on my table to keep it safe away from sticky fingers. I couldn't count the number of times that someone came up to me and said, in all seriousness, " Do you know that one of your guinea pigs has got out?"

Bravo to you for risking stopping on the motorway.
