Sorry to read that Isabel has been unwell.

I spoke to the Piggyfriend's Rodentologist today and asked him about lupron, which I had Googled, after reading your post, for more info. He didn't know the name but then we are in England and everything has a different name here.

I had found out that lupron is a gonadotropin releasing hormone and he said that he sometimes uses one for piggies with ovarian cysts. He said that he would only give 3 doses, which should be enough to shrink the cysts and then leave it for a while rather than use it continuously. If the cysts regrow later then further doses could be given if necessary but the 3 original shots may be enough to keep them at bay. Far safer than surgery.

Piggies with a UTI often pass some blood and I hope that Isabel is on a course of antibiotics to clear this up. It can look quite scary when it first happens and it is not always obvious what the problem if you have not seen it before.
