A few weeks ago I posted a question about lice. I work at a shelter in Fl and we had a gp that hade lice and I didn’t know what to do with him. Well since then we have gotten in another gp with lice!!! I took her to my own vet Dr. Coughlan Palm City Fl(great guy).  This is what I learned , NOT contagious to people just other pigs yaaaaa. Treatment consist of shots of ivermectin NOT BY MOUTH pigs have a hard time absorbing meds such as this . So the formula is 0.05(1/2 a 10th)mm per 4lbs. It kills lice /mites and also de-worms! So you use a small needle like a insulin syringe and right in the back where you can see skin give them the injection every 8-10 days for 3 injections. So also I learned I know some of you know this already but ill pass it on anyway just like cats ALL gps that are calico are girls interesting. -Sara
