try feeding her a slurry of pellets and water, let them sit as they need a allot of water, they keep swelling up with water till you have the right amount. Make it semi liquid and feed by spoon. At the vet ask for a 3 cc syringe with no needle for feeding use it instead of the spoon you first used. Set her on enough towels so she stays dry the vet will have to test for urinary tract ot bladder infection. You use guinea pig pellets that aren't too old right, not rabbit pellets, must have gp pellets and if you have not been using them tell the vet. He needs to check her female organs for hormone imbalance and tumors, has she lost hair on her flanks although this is not likely as she is eating less not more, unless she is in end stage disease, is she spayed? How old is she With any luck she just has an infection of some sort, have him look at her teeth including the molars in back. Make sure he knows allot about gp's its better if you get a specialist, look for on in the yellow pages that says they treat "exotics" write back and tell use the results so we can tell you where to go from there.

You may wish to have her treated for mites with Ivermectin, don't bother with a skin scrape test, they are usually false negative, plus this medicine treats a whole lot of internal parasites, but if he says she's too sick wait till she is better. All 4 should be treated. Make sure your whole herd is getting as much timothy or orchard grass hay for their gut health as they can eat 24 hrs a day, fiber needs, teeth grinding. Keep track of their weights every week, every day when they are sick. Make sure she is warm but can get away from heat if she gets too warm. For her illness she may need pain meds like metacam (an nsaid) and reglan to regulate and encourage her gut to work , sometimes cisapride is added as well for the gut Pain meds are important if she seems in pain

Have him check her all over for lumps and bumps, her ears, take temp, check feet all over etc. When you write back let us know her complete diet including salads and treats (not good) and the ingredients in her pellets, what her bedding is if she gets exercise
good luck Sandy
