Simone had her visit at the vet yesterday. She had a thorough examination
with x-rays. The x-rays showed no bladder stones, although the vet did find
something which may be a tumour (not affecting her organs).

She refused food all afternoon and basically just wanted to be left alone.
I decided to syringe feed her (a mixture of ground cavy cusine and pumpkin)
around 7 and again at 9. I checked her at 3:30 in the morning and she was
up and around and eating a little of her pellets and timothy hay.

The vet gave me Arsenicum, and I gave Simone one dropper full about an hour
ago. I had to wait 30 minutes before offering her food. She eagerly grabbed
a slice of carrot and a leaf of Romaine. I am to call the vet tomorrow
before giving her further dosage of the Arsenicum.

We believe Simone's wet butt was probably caused by her prolonged lying in
one spot.

Thank you for all your help and concern.
Kathy & the herd of 4
