To anyone with a piggy with arthritis, in the hope that the following might help a piggy in need and that this remedy is available in all of your countries.

My SCAMP Diamond was diagnosed with arthritis in one back leg a few weeks ago. She was bunny hopping around her pen trying to keep up with her younger sisters and it was not hard to determine the reason.

Our Rodentologist has had some success using Potter's Tabritis tablets as recommended by Peter in his "Old Age" page http://www.oginet.com/pgurney/oldage.htm and gave me a handful of tablets for Diamond to try. She warned me that an occasional piggy can develop diarrhoea after taking these so I watched Diamond very carefully and she is fine.

After a couple of days, the bunny hopping stopped and she is now running around with Gingerbread and Mayflower, bounces around like a piglet and can sit up and beg for her food once more. I am delighted with the results as, I am sure, is Diamond.

The tablets take forever to dissolve. I break a tablet in half and put in in a tiny jar. The ones that contain individual portions of preserves are ideal. Add the 1.5 ml of water and leave for an hour or so. Tipping the little jar at an angle so that the half tablet is completely covered will speed up the process.

Diamond loves the taste and is always disappointed when it is all gone, reaching out for the syringe for more.

Anyone who reads my posts will know that I am a big fan of herbal remedies and I will be trying these tablets myself when old age gets the better of me.
