I am so sorry to read that Tumbleweed's abscess has returned. They can be very difficult little blighters to clear up.

My Frodo had one under his chin last year. It came up very suddenly and took many attempts at lancing it before it finally went away. Masses of gunk was cleaned out the first two times and then gradually less and less each time after that. Our rodentologists discovered a second abscess behind the first one and it was around 7 weeks before it all cleared up completely. Frodo never stopped eating during all this time and probably wondered what all the fuss was about.
