[Gpdd] Misc: Carrot Wars director/producer featured in book!

I wrote to the gpdd about this once before, but it bounced back for some reason. Alyssa's e-mail from the sunday gpdd reminded me to try again. 

There is the cutest booklet in my classroom which is all about Alyssa and her start in making guinea pig movies! Do you have a copy, Alyssa? 

We do individual reading tests twice a year to see how students are progressing in reading on grade level. I was so tickled when I saw that one of the reading selections for fifth-grade level is called "Lights, Camera, Action!" and subtitled wlth Alyssa's name! There is a big picture of her and, I think, her guinea pig Hazel on the cover! I've had several students who selected Alyssa's book to read for me. It is very engaging with several photos, and contains great technical info for junior film-makers. This book is part of a reading company's packaged reading testing service, so unfortunately probably is not available to purchase. But I am just so thrilled to make the connection between the gpdd and Alyssa for my students, because I never "knew" anyone from the books before.
