Julia, Emily, Bearlette and Autumn, we are very sorry that Archie and Persephone passed away within three days of one another. It must be so hard to be dealing with one loss and then have another right after it.

Having had Tumbleweed go through so many troubles with his teeth, we understand what you were going through with Archie. It is so difficult to try to keep the teeth in good shape and the piggie's appetite up. Please know that Archie appreciated your trimming his teeth, syringe feeding him, and taking him with you when you went places so you could keep an eye on him. He certainly understood all of your concern and knew how much you loved him. We are so sorry that he passed away as your vet was trying to help him. Although Archie was only with you a year, we know he enjoyed being such a special member of your family and living with four girls. He was so lucky that you rescued him. Please accept our condolences on his passing.

Persephone was also very lucky to be rescued. It is good that a girl realized that her friend was not doing a proper job of taking care of Persephone and that the girl was able to rehome her. How sad that Persephone was being kept in a filthy cat basket and had no room to move. We know how relieved she was when she discovered your home. How touching that she turned from a bully into a sweet girl; obviously she understood how much you loved her and how much she meant to you. Although piggies are never with us long enough, we are so glad that she lived to be five and a half, a good lifespan for a piggie. It sounds as though she really missed Archie and wanted to make sure he had company at the Bridge. She was a very compassionate girl. We send our condolences.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all sick piggies and their families.

Sadly,
Cindy, Tumbleweed, and Friday
