Hi Andy and Jean and the cute Misfits,
Both Sully and Duke loved to munch on the leaves that had dropped in our
back yard, the only thing i did was make sure it had no 'funny looking'
spots (thought it could be a small spider or bug or something hatching)
and not too green.
When Duke was ill from an abscess operation a couple of years back he
would not eat hay so i'd take him outside to eat grass and leaves, he'd
immediately bury his nose in the grass hunting for that yummy leaf and
then munch on it.
Even up to a week ago i'd take him out onto the grass and dig around for
leaves for him to munch on, he happily tasted his last gum tree leaf
about a week before travelling to the bridge, even tho it was only a
nibble i could tell he loved it.
So i'm sure as long as it's not listed as a poisonous tree i'd let them.
You could however go onto a gardening site and find out the trees
origins and see if it's listed as safe or harmful.

Love
Glynis (in mem Sully and Duke) xxxx
