Hi Janet,

It could be a difference in age although in my case it’s the 10 month old
bullying the 4 ½ year old! I’ve tried a different tactic in buying a toy
from the pet shop and rubbing it all over Abby and placing it in Marmite’s
cage. I’m hoping she will get used to Abby’s smell. So far the toy has
remained in tact so I take it as a good sign. I’m going to try and bond them
again tonight although I will keep them separated until I’m 100% certain
Marmite can play nicely – I don’t want any more chunks of fur taken out of
poor old Abby.

Do you think Luke is trying to get to the girls cause he quite fancies them?

I'm wondering if Marmite's aggressiveness isn't caused by the differences
in ages. Isabel and Lily (over 5 yrs old) still haven't accepted Luke
(nearly

1 yr old), so Marmite and the other two piggies are pretty near those same
ages.

My girls won't talk to Luke and barely look at him while he scream and
yells his little lungs out. None of the piggies are neutered, so I'm
keeping the sows separate. Even if I did neuter him, I'm not sure he'd be
accepted. It just seems cruel to him to keep him very near the girls, so I
keep him across the room to keep stress levels down but allow him to have
some piggie communication. Floortime is done on separate floors, as Luke
has demonstrated some escape artistry. Any thoughts?
