[Gpdd] HEALTH Melon rind and Mulberry leaves.

My piggies all love melon rind but the ones that I buy here in England are honeydew, watermelon and piel de sopa. I wash the rind before they have it.

According to Wikipedia, a North American cantaloupe is not the same as a European one and the rind on the former can contain bacteria especially salmonella. Here is the link  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantaloupe

I expect our members in the US can shed more light on this subject.

I can't help with the mulberry leaves though. I just know that the larvae of silkworms eat the leaves. My piggies like the more mundane apple and pear twigs and leaves.
