Kate - Kitty,Tuesday, Maggie We are sorry to be so late with expressing
our condolences to you on the departure for the Rainbow Bridge of your
chief choir leader, Sundae, but we have had problems accessing the
Internet for a while and had a huge backlog of email with which to
contend. We are glad he was able to slip away peacefully, in his own time
and space, and we are sure he will have known how dearly he was loved. He
knew that those loud wheeks would win him some treat or other, and how
spoilt he must have felt with his two water bottles! Has somebody else
taken his place now as chief choir leader, which is what generally seems
to happen amongst the Dolly Mixtures, or are you still having to contend
with that unbearable silence? He is whole again now, with no kidney
problems and all the treats he could wish for without ever having to
wheek for them, reunited with departed friends at the Rainbow Bridge. It
is always so hard to lose a piggie, but we hope you have been able to
find some comfort in the tender thoughts and words from piggie slaves all
over the world who understand how you feel and wish you well, as we do.

Three days ago my sweet lovable loud boy Sundae left for the
bridge...He was the leader of the "choir" and now it is so silent.
I couldn't walk past the room without him knowing my footsteps -
wanting for treats. He loved his water bottle so he had two, the
Vet said let him drink until he has had his fill because he had a
kidney condition. He passed away looking peaceful, as though he
was sleeping which was my fear each time I checked on him. I wear
my Rainbow Bridge pin in his memory for a week at least.
Kate - Kitty,Tuesday, Maggie and Many at the bridge.

hi well the reason you can't get the webkinz guinea pig is because
it's exclusive and will only be at Justice for 60 days it's been
out since April 1st so if you want to really get it you could go to
Justice or probably just buy it on Ebay.
Thanks

Teddy and Baci would like to thank everyone who sent
wonderful birthday greetings on the digest and to our
personal email. They and their slave enjoyed every one
and feel so fortunate to have YOU as such sweet friends.
Also: Teddy thanks his bride, Princess Snowflake and
Sweetie thanks her beau, Handsome Bertie Pig for the
fun card and zillions of gifties! Their little paws got
tired of opening so many presents! Each one was such
fun and so special...just like PS, Bertie and Leah!
Hugs to all,
Joanne

If you are considering a vote, my top all time number one are the
wonderful
family that run The Foggy Creek Cavy Rescue in Auburn Wa. 98092 If
you have
been around long enough to remember they helped me with the last few,
4 or
5, I think piggies when I had to give up my home and small organic
farm run
on hot composted piggy poo, named Penny Giggle Farm. Since there were
no
piggy rescues in Oregon they arranged a piggy train and kept me
abreast of
all their placements, and their little girl adopted my Feebeep, who
is far
too old a Grand Dame to be still here on earth, bit she surely smiles
down
on Foggy Creek from her place on the bridge.
Sandy and Manny the Boar who is currently arguing with Li'l Bit as to
where
exactly is the most comfy place in the cage I just cleaned, popcorn
anyone?

Below is a request from a friend of mine. The North Jersey Guinea Pig
and Hamster Rescue is small and could really use the grant.
We adopted Angel and Pigwidgeon from NJGPHR, so the organization has
a
special meaning for me.
Thanks, all!

End of Gpdd Digest, Vol 8, Issue 116
************************************
"We patronize them for their incompleteness,
for their tragic fate of having taken a form so far below ourselves.
And therein we err, and greatly err.
For the animal shall not be measured by man.
In a world older and more complete than ours
they move finished and complete, gifted
with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained,
living by voices we shall never hear.
They are not brethren, they are not underlings;
they are other nations, caught with ourselves
in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners
of the splendour and travail of the earth".
