Hi everyone,
Vet saw Rufie yesterday took xrays --Rufie has two bladder stones and one
kidney stone, going for surgery on Monday (In 6 days) poor Rufie! i felt so
bad I was so stupid and clueless about the pain he must have been in. Vet
gave him a narcotic pain medicine (The name is on the invoice and I wil find
it later) and gave us a bottle of metacam.  I just gave him a dose and he
seems better.  I mean he feels better.  i am still syringing crit. care
since he doesn't really do much with his pellets.  The vet tech kept asking
me ( as did Vet herself) what kind of pellets I use.  I haveit boiled down
to all Kaytee varieties mainly the supreme, exact, timothy complete and
forti-diet..See the other night in case you missed it, I came home from work
and his bedding had red pee ---lots.  his pee is normal looking now, the
smaller bladder stone is not that small, the other one is big; vet said he
may only have one good kidney...
does anyone know about the blood test they try to take from a guinea pig?
they could not find thevein on his leg so they never did it,  They wanted to
in order to see if the metacam would interfere with his kidneys? does anyone
know?
