Hi All
Well Baby Truffles has been on the meds for 1 1/2 days, she seems to have more energy but still doesn't eat much on her own. If I understood the vet correctly it's the pressure of the infection swelling up the tissues and causing the nerves to be pinched. That in turn is making it difficult for her to eat properly? Or could it be the infection itself making it difficult to chew? Either way we're still syringe feeding, critical care, pumpkin, apple sauce and juice. It's just heartbreaking to see her nosing around the lettuce wanting to eat but she just can't seem to pick it up. When we try placing some in her mouth she just runs away or spits it out. We do manage some pellets, she seems to chew those. It's all so puzzling, seeing her want food but not taking it when offered.

Anyway we'd like to thank everyone for their suggestions and encouragement, this is a wonderful forum.

Michael and Corrine
