Blossom and Baby Truffles saw the new vet again today. The vet stopped the flagyl and upon examining Blossom she determined that there are no neurological symptoms that were displayed in Baby Truffles so at this point she doesn't want to prescribe anymore medications besides the prednisone. For Baby Truffles, upon examination, her previous neurological symptoms that she had been displaying cleared up so the vet is going to keep her on the baytril and prednisone for three more days. For both piggies the vet noted that their front teeth were long so she trimmed both of them so she hopes that will allow them to eat normally which they still haven't been doing. If they don't start eating normally within two days, then to do a recheck and at that time she'll do another x-ray doing a different angle of the abdomen. Coming back from the vet they seemed rather tired, stressed out, but they still haven't eaten on their own. So we're continuing with the
syringe feeding and tried some yogurt and they seemed to like the taste. We also syringed peppermint water after because it's supposed to help calm their tummy and it also has a cooling effect on the throat. Both piggies seem better but it's still puzzling as to why they don't eat on their own. So we'll continue syringe feeding and hope for the best. Thank you all for your kind words and suggestions.

Michael and Corrine
