[Gpdd] [RAINBOW BRIDGE] Condolences for Fleckers and Ging

There seem to be just too many piggies leaving for The Rainbow Bridge
just lately - are they planning some kind of wonderful jamboree over
there that nobody wants to miss? Maybe they all want to be there to help
Peter Gurney celebrate his birthday next month? We were very sorry to
read of the departures of Fleckers and Ging, and cannot throw any light
on the bloody feet, as we have never seen this, and we have had a lot of
piggies leave during the night, whose bodies have never had bloody feet,
in spite of other piggies being in with them. It is hard at any time to
lose a piggie, but of course doubly painful to lose two in quick
succession, which has also happened to us here at Serendipity. We are now
down to 8, with one of those still in hospital in the UK (where
apparently he is eating a little but still needing syringe feeding), and
after having 22 at one time, it does seem very few, although there will
not be any more arriving. We are sure Fleckers and Ging knew how very
much they were loved, and at least they will have one another for company
at The Bridge, as well as all our dear departures treasures, of course.
We hope it may comfort you just a tiny bit to know that gpdd-ers all over
the globe are thinking of you at this difficult time, and wishing you
well. Debbie and the 8 Dolly Mixtures

"We patronize them for their incompleteness,
for their tragic fate of having taken a form so far below ourselves.
And therein we err, and greatly err.
For the animal shall not be measured by man.
In a world older and more complete than ours
they move finished and complete, gifted
with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained,
living by voices we shall never hear.
They are not brethren, they are not underlings;
they are other nations, caught with ourselves
in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners
of the splendour and travail of the earth".
