[Gpdd] Health: Lizzy's Pea Eye

Hi Katie,
     You can send me a close up picture of Lizzy if you like, but I think 
your diagnosis of "pea eye" is quite accurate, Jolly Rodent Mr. Cooders had pea 
eye though it was mild when he was younger. It gradually became more pronounced 
and finally, when he was about 5 years old, the fatty tumor part of his eyes 
was quite prominent. My vet declared him "obese" and said that was the cause 
of it. Silly man! (the vet)
     Cooders later did lose some weight but not because I put him on a diet, 
which I didn't do.   However, less of the fatty tumor (the cause of pea eye) 
was visible after the weight loss. But the weight loss was because he was a 
sick piggy and getting older.
     I wouldn't worry about pea eye at all unless it crowds out the seeing 
part of the eye and I've never heard of that. From the picture I've seen of 
Lizzy, she looks just fine!
     As for your letter writing -- bravo! I'm proud of you - I'm sure we all 
are!
     You're a delightful young lady.
