My Isabel is now 5 1/2 yrs old and was diagnosed with ovarian cysts last March.? She too had the crusty nipples.? She has been taking lupron (hormonal) injections monthly since March and is doing quite well.? Her last sonogram showed that the cysts had indeed shrunk.? The crusty nipples?have vanished.? She has some abnormal tissue growth in the uterus that the lupron won't help, but so far, so good.??Her vet recommended against surgery because of her age. Hope this helps.
