My friend Ricki needs advice about her guinea pig Chelito.  Chelito is about 4 years old and one of his eyes is somewhat protuding and has a clearly-defined, somewhat ragged inflamation around the eye.  I looked at Chelito for her and told her to take him to the vet right away.  She did, and the vet thinks that it may be glucoma, and gave Ricki several prescriptions for Chelito.  Chelito was recently treated for a UTI infection and the vet also filed his teeth (under anesthesia), so I wonder if the eye problem could be a reaction to the previous meds, or maybe Conjunctivitis.
 
Has anyone experienced anything similar to this?  Any information is appreciated.
