Shipwreck Sam and Jodie the Jolly have met in the Black Pearl's foc's'le for 
another of their many dates. It is the Fourth of July and the Cap'n Jack has 
announced an ole' fashion American fireworks celebration with ordnance 
obtained by agents Igor and Fugly, aided by Barnacle Bill who invented a 
cover story for their absence. Cap'n Jack is asking no questions.

Shipwreck Sam:  Welcome my darling, you are as lovely as ever, (he startles 
suddenly when she looks at him) OMG! Why are your eyes black! Are you hurt, 
Were you in a fight!!

Jodie the Jolly:  No! Silly, this is the latest in fashion, it's called 
"Goth" Onyx shows us how (she bats her suddenly extended and very dark 
eyelashes at him, her eyes are rimmed in black) All us sows are trying it 
out. An have you heard the music, whee are listening to Nine Inch Nails and 
Marilyn Manson! Tre' cool.

Shipwreck Sam:  (He winces slightly) OH! yes everyone on board is hearing 
it. Myself, I prefer the deck practice the boars are doing to learn that 
"Thriller" dance by Michael Jackson. Another slave gone to bridge, zo sad, 
da humans be gathering in da streets

Jodie the Jolly:  (flashes a dazzling smile and holds up her paw which 
sports a glittering glove.) Yeah! I be doing dat too!

Shipwreck Sam: Look! der goes the first rocket, it's beautiful, dose sillies 
Fugly an Igor did a good thing dis time. Come closer honey (he moves in and 
then jumps away like a stuck pig) What's dat ting aroun yer neck! A collar!! 
Whee piggies don wear collars, whee da masters! It sticks me, ders spikes on 
it, what da hecks!

Jodie the Jolly:  It's all in the Goth look, darling, dont be so jumpy. It's 
zo fun!(They angle around each other trying to get close and comfortable) 
besides you have an earring now dat you be a big bad pirate, right?

Shipwreck Sam:  Well ya, yur right! Lets eat then!  (he reaches for the 
pignick basket,  again so perfectly prepared) Jodie feeds him little carrot 
slices cut in the shape of stars) Well, Goth or not you are marvelous, 
sweetie (he purrs sweetly as another rocket shoots up breaking into a golden 
starburst)

Jodie the Jolly: It's a good ting whee have dis time together, tings are 
getting really busy wit all da piggies arriving for the memorial, do you 
know when it is?

Shipwreck Sam: Not fur sure, but dis wheek, der be zo much to do. Cap'n 
Jack, he be working very hard. He posted orders dat da whole ship be cleaned 
and polished. Tomorrow I hafta muck out da poop deck. (laughs)  did you see 
poor Igor and Fugly, de pulled dat duty twice for sneaking off da ship wit 
out orders. I heard dey was riding dolphins! Dat be right hard for a little 
piggy, lots harder than riding a big ole flat turtle. But I got a email from 
my momma slave to quit doing dat cause it might bother dem, but I writes 
back an sez whee only did it after dey laid der eggs, an whee helped dem 
look out for plastic bags dat might be mistooks for jellyfishes. Zo she said 
Ok!, but not to make them go fast cause dat whole egg thing be very 
exhausting! (He pauses, and changes subject) Now dat whee got dat shipment 
of Blackberry Pearls da piggies all be writing home more, zo I hope whee 
start getting more slave messages, but I heard her Highness, The Princess 
Snowflake is berry concerned about how whee got dem and might be sending an 
investigator, probably her Minister, Bertie, I hope der not be a scandal, or 
worse arrests!

Jodie the Jolly: Yes, no troubles now I hopes. Whee hafta put into some port 
and get flowers an candles, and allot more hay, whee be making wreathes for 
Snowy Bear and all the oder piggies whee be memorializing, and dat wunderful 
Parent Slave Debbie, dat passed dis wheek, so sad, she were wunderful and 
saved zo many homeless piggies. it be an honor whee have a chance to honor 
dem all. I hope one of her piggies can come to memorialize her wit a wreath, 
or maybe Joanie's pig, She was zo loved by all. (She pauses, a tear starts) 
Whee be lucky to be here together all healthy and zo happy (a huge triple 
burst goes off overhead) (She smiles then, looking down at the sparkly ring 
around her left wrist) Itz sad whee hafta put off our wedding tho.

Shipwreck Sam:: Yes honey, your parent slaves will come around, de just want 
der time wit you being zo new in da house wit dem and Pegleg Peaches, whee 
have to be respectful, de be our elders, but still, (sighs)

Jodie the Jolly: It doesn't change my feeling for you, my love, I am zo 
happy you will wait for me (the night sky lights up with multiple explosions 
signaling the finale of the fireworks show. Dey purr together as de wrap up 
the remains of the pignick which are very few)Well yes, time to go, I know 
der be a Pig Air helicopter coming in tomorrow wit more piggies who want to 
honor der lost bruders and sisters and parents at da memorial, good ting 
whee have Pig Air.

Shipwreck Sam:  Yeah! and I'm sleepy, no partying for me tonight, (he helps 
her onto the ladder gingerly trying to avoid the spikes in her collar) 
Sweetheart, do yee tink dis Goth ting be a lasting trend?

Jodie the Jolly:  No sweetie, not to long, its just zo fun for now, I gotta 
find Peaches, haven't seen her today, wunder what she be up to!  They kiss 
sweetly as de reach da bottom of the rope ladder, Hand in hand they head for 
the main deck and part as dey reach the crowd of other piggies who are 
waving sparklers in unison. Sam blows her a kiss which she deftly catches 
and presses to her heart
