Well its mixed news really, we have collected Spooky from the vets along with a supply of Fibreplex and food to syringe feed him. I am not very good at the syringing luckily oh is much better at it.

Thanks for advice about Bene Bac Ty, unfortunately when I googled it, it looks like its only available in the states I am in the UK. It sounds like the Fibreplex which we have for him, as well as containing fibre it contains pre and probiotics.

We put Spooky back in his cage and he ate a little timothy hay and drank some water, I was so relieved.

We syringed fed him some more but he struggled, kept turning head away and using paws to push syringe away, we stuck at it and eventually got him to eat some. Syringe feeding is messy.

We gave Fugly his fresh food and Spooky wheeked the place down in protest, another good sign, the boys also talked to each other through the cage bars.

Spooky is much more active and his poos other night are a mix of really watery still fluid poo and unformed soft mounds which are a step in the right direction.

He is still active and this morning I saw him eat some more hay, doesnt appear to have touched the pellet food though, still drinking and even had a wee, yesterday he didnt wee at all,the vet said that was because he was losing the fluids in the diarrhoea, so another good sign.

The bad news is he has lost weight again, he is now down to 378g so not out of the woods yet.

Please keep fingers crossed I dont want to lose the little guy.

Is there anything I can be feeding him to help him put the weight back on, anything I can give to help speed up the poop firming?

Thanks for your help

M
