Hi Everyone,

Here are a few tips for keeping your animals cool during this hot weather (or at lest it's hot here and Oregon). : )

Freeze clean pop bottles full of water and then wrap one in a towel and put it in a corner of their cage.

Freeze gallon jugs of water (like milk jugs) put them in a pig ceramic bowl (like a dog dish) and put it in the cage. As the ice melts it cools the bowl and the animal(s) can lay against it.

Freeze ceramic tiles and then put one in the cage.

Cover part of the cage with a damp towel and blow a fan at the towel. On low of course.

Put a block of ice (milk jug or pop bottle) in front of a blowing fan and point it towards the cage.

Be careful with fans that the animals aren't always in constant moving air.

I hope some of you can use these helpful hints. They really come in handy especially if you don't have an air conditioner.

If anyone has any other hints please write.
