[Gpdd] Health: How is Snowy Bear?

Hi Corrine & Michael, 



Just read your GPDD email about our Secret Pal, Snowy Bear. Poor little guy. Sorry I don't know of any medical illustrations of the guinea pig right off the bat. I have seen one on theinternet before, but will have to see if I can find it. I used to have it bookmarked on my old computer, and I don't know how to find my backup files from there. 



About the Metacam, I'll share with you what my vet said: It makes a better quality of life. It is true that it can somewhat shorten their lifespan, but the life that he has will be more comfortable. And if you only do this for a few days, it is probably no risk at all. My little guy Snowball had to take Metacam for about 3-5 days each month after his teeth trims. But I could tell he was much more comfortable. And that way the vet gave him almost two years longer than he would have had with no medication.
