What a lovely story and what a wonderful tribute to your  Snowy Bear's love 
for you.

I do want to tell you something I learned.  Once, I rescued a baby robine 
that had fallen to the ground and was in immediate danger from the local 
cats, so I brought it in my house.  I was sighted back then so it was a much 
easier feat than it sounds!  I called the local wildlife officials and they 
told me to make sure I mixed in gravel, like the kind you give a parakeet, 
so that the bird could digest it's food.  He suggested mixing it with 
applesauce or worms.  As if!  The applesauce I could handle but I let the 
ex-hubby do the worm thing.  Ugh.
