Benbac is for sure no good, probiotics have a short shelf life. Meds 
prepared by a doc, vet, or pharmacist have shorter lives, creams and 
solutions have shorter lives, pills from a pharmacy or off the shelf have 
much longer lives, esp. if kept in a dry environment (not the kitchen or 
bath) and if they are unopened they live even longer. Look at similar off 
the shelf items and get an idea from them.    Sandy and Sammy
