Most lumps are nothing. I have had quite a few female guinea pigs who
have had lumps and it turned out to be fat deposits. At her age, I
would avoid anything that is invasive or stress her out. Let her
enjoy her life. My last guinea pig had a lump that one vet thought
might be cancer but kept disappearing and comming back and
disappearing again. We were never sure if it was a cyst or a fat
deposit but she lived another two years and in the end there was no
lump. I've found doing the surgery to remove the lumps has never
really lengthened my guinea pigs lives, and they certainly weren't
happy about it.
