Hi all,

First, I thank all of you for all the positive and sincere concern, love and care for each others pigs and slaves. Especially to dear Sandy, I do really appreciate it, even though I am a bit grouchy from lack of sleep.

We took a ride today to the exotics specialist on the island, their office is about 40 miles away so it takes a good hour; I took Cocoa (5 mos. old -one of two cutie-pie boars from Sammie's litter of 4 healthy babies) because he had URI, and I took my dear Cheyenie, a sweet little sow who is only about 1 and a half years, but has huge ovarian cysts. She is my only real short haired, and now she has lost much of it from the cysts. So the three of us went up to Kula where the vet is and just got back, and the entire trip took 4 hours. Geez.

Anyway I had questions and in explaining my utter confusion I guess I made sense, because I clarified my plea for help with the mites, and outright asked Felea (yes that is her name) the vet tech, if they give Ivermectin or Revolution to gps. from their office; she said they give Revolution, so---I am so excited to have Revolution for all 11 of my mammals, including bunny Darla, I am so tired and mad with some situations in my life (insurance companies lead the list-go figure) that all of that other stuff just does not matter anymore- because I am just so pleased to finally get my hands on Revolution to treat the furry ones, which I will do tonight after I eat something. It seems I hang out with them more than some people and they are so patient---we humans can really learnn from animals, they are the best teachers in patience and all other instinctual virtues, etc.

Also, I asked the vet about giving Kaloey that other antibiotic for gps that is a long word that starts with 'C' and ends with 'L'---you savy slaves know what I'm talking about--she said let him finish the doxycycline first and if that is not helping his eyes , then they will call the pharmacy to make some up. But she also said maybe it is viral. I don't know, I will look on the web page for piggie eyes that you advised Sandy, a big MAHALO (thank you), really.

I am so grateful to this email group. I was telling the vet and vet tech about the Gpdd, and they did not really seem engaged in what i was trying to say, although I did tell her that lotsa people on here have been having gps as pets for a long time, and know a lot of stuff and retained a lot of stuff and are so very helpful. My input is not as much, I have thus far had 14 guinea pigs, one of which I fostered...so it always helps clarify everything for those who are confused (such as myself.)
