I'm really sorry to hear about Dillon. It sounds like even though your vet
wasn't the most experienced with piggies that she is a very caring vet & for
that you were lucky. Teeth problems are unfortunately just very hard to deal
with in piggies. There's alot of different opinions & advice out there. It's
hard to know what is fact & what is fiction. Don't drive yourself insane
with "if onlys". Believe me, we've all been there & it just does no good for
your healing process. You did awesome, waking up in the middle of the night
for him & I know you tried your absolute best & he knew that too. Our
piggies always leave holes in our hearts when they go. That hole can never
be filled again, but can be patched by other piggies who will need our love
in the future. Take comfort with your husband & remaining piggies & enjoy
every second with them. It's sweet that your family even called to check on
him too. He was so well loved. I have been there & so has everyone else here
on the digest. It is devastating when they go & it will take time to heal. I
know it's hard to believe right now but it does get better. Take care. My
thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.
