I know of head tilt which is caused by 2 main causes. I ear infection, 2. a
very nasty protozoan parasite known as E. cuniculi, very commonly found in
rabbits, and are transmissable to guinea pigs. They must be treated with
panacur or one of a couple other drugs, its not expensive but hard to test
for so that often the animal is treated both for a bacterial infection and
the presence of the parasite at the same time esp. time is of the essence in
both cases, the protozoa work their way to the brain, optic nerve, spinal
column and liver, causing great damage and death. So a vet should be seen
asap, hopefully an exotics specialist or University vet School. Info on this
disease in rabbits can be found at www.medirabbit.com
Hope it's a simple ear infection
