Sandy, thank you SO MUCH for all this advice!

We do have a great exotics clinic, and I think I'll see if I can make an
appointment with them in the next week or two. Her weight has been holding
steady for a little while, so I don't think a few more days' wait will harm
her. I don't think she could handle surgery at her age and in her condition,
and I'm not sure if there is a way we can continue the hormone treatments
here at home (which would be preferable, since the clinic is a 45-minute
drive away), but I'll be sure to discuss all the options with the vet. She
has had HGH and Lupron injections in the past, and they did help, but only
for a time.

I'll definitely be looking for a different probiotic...I believe there's a
GNC at our local mall, and I think most of them have refrigerated cases for
stuff like this these days. I give her simethicone (the baby gas relief
formula) when she gets gassy, which thankfully she hasn't been lately.
Nothing funnier than guinea pig farts! :D
