Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your kind words on the death of Peaches. We are still hurting, but as often happens, somepigs have come along to cheer us up.

Today we brought home as fosters two of the sows from the Hopkinton rescue. These were part of the 10, 6 males and 4 females, found by a woman riding her horse in a field in Hopkinton, MA and taken to the Medfield Animal Shelter.

All the others have found homes. We do not know yet if any of the sows are pregnant. Time will tell.

I named them for Zoe and Lily who recently passed away around the time Peaches died.

They are very hand shy but happy in the same cage together. I am hoping Jodie will like them and they can be joined in one big cage.

While at the shelter we met two surrendered boars. One is wobbly on his feet and his mouth is twisted. Judy at the shelter said the vet thought he had an ear infection at one time that let him like this. I don't think an ear infection would cause the mouth twist. Could it or maybe he had a stroke or head injury? He is suposed to be around two years old. He is friendly and eats just fine.

Dee
